Gold futures extended declines in electronic trading Thursday
Gold futures extended declines in electronic trading Thursday, tracked by weakness for most other metals. Gold futures for December delivery dropped 35 cents, or 0.3%, to $1,766.00 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange during Asian trading hours. The broader suite of metals mostly fell, adding to losses posted in Wednesday’s North American session. Silver was the outlier, with the December contract trading up 16 cents, or 0.5%, at $33.98 an ounce.
