Vietnam gold rose VND0.57 million a tael on Wednesday morning
Vietnam gold rose VND0.57 million a tael from yesterday close to VND43.67 million a tael on Wednesday morning following the world gold prices.
SJC Hanoi quoted at VND43.25million/tael for bid and VND43.67 million/tael for ask, respectively as of 9:30 am, Hanoi time.
SJC Ho Chi Minh listed at VND43.25-43.65 million/tael for bid and ask, respectively.
Sacombank-SBJ gold prices were listed at VND43.15-VND43.55million/tael for bid and ask, respectively.
Rong Thang Long gold, a product of Bao Tin Minh Chau company was trading at VND42.20 million/tael and VND42.70 million/tael for bid and ask, respectively.
Global Markets: Gold Up In Both New York and Asia
In New York last night, gold prices climbed as the euro was up 1%versus the dollar.
Spot gold rose 1.3 % at $1,612.80 an ounce. Gold futures added up $20.90 to settle at $1,617.60.
At Kitco Floor this morning, spot gold was quoted at $1,625.00 -1,626.00 as of 9:34 am, Hanoi time.
The euro rose versus the dollar and recorded its highest rate since Dec. 13 versus the dollar, helped by a sharp fall in Spanish short-term borrowing costs.
However, confidence in gold or trend of buying gold as safe haven asset remain fragile as concerns persist that policymakers’ efforts to address the euro zone debt crisis are inadequate and could keep European assets under pressure. – Stoxplus.com
